Madeline

Madeline
Originally uploaded by Iris Susan.

I have had such a difficult time finishing this heart...I've been working on it for 4 weeks. I love the way it turned out and I tried out some new stitches...cast-on, Fargo roses and the scrunched ribbon. It looks like I need more practice on the cast-on stitches...lol...they don't lay flat like others I've seen. I'm really pleased with the Fargo roses...they never turned out right before when I've tried them. The spider web roses are done with two ribbons a 7mm and 4mm threaded together. I really like the effect! Larger photo here.

Ohhh, "Madeline" huh? That's Maddie's real name. Enough silliness -- the roses are beautiful. You did a fantastic job! (Lesa)

She looks beautiful to me, and perfect. I really like that double ribbon effect on the roses, too.
